Brown Sugar Cupcakes

You Need:
1/2 cup milk
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups self raising flour
2 large eggs
2 1/2 tablespoons of melted butter
1 teaspoon of vanilla

125g softened butter
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
extra vanilla

Method:
Place all ingredients (except last three) into a large mixing bowl, adding melted butter last. Mix with an electric beater for about 3 minutes. Divide equally between 12 cupcake pans and cook for about 20 mins at 108C.
For the icing, whip softened butter with electric mixer until pale and fluffy. Gradually add in icing sugar (if you add too much at once, the sugar will go all over your kitchen hehe). When all the sugar is mixed in, add a little bit of vanilla.
Now wait until your cupcakes have completely cooled down, then pipe or spread them with the buttercream icing, and decorate as you wish! I like to sprinkel them with a little extra brown sugar.

Mmmmm Yummy yum!

Just a little poem.

The Guppy

Whales have calves,
Cats have kittens,
Bears have cubs,
Bats have bittens,
Swans have cygnets,
Seals have puppies,
But guppies just have little guppies.

How do I remember him?

Today's post is dedicated to the memory of a close friend. Three years today, I lost my best friend, my first love, and my answer.

Damien hurt me too much for words. But his passing has had a huge impact on how my life has turned out, and as much as I still hate him for leaving me behind. I still love him as much as I did back then.

So, here's to Damien. I hope that wherever you are, your pain has ceased and you smile once more xoxo

You can find him here:

Hello, again.

Hi,
Sorry I haven't posted in a wholllllleeeee week :(
I have been pretty busy with work... Sometimes I feel like I live here.

Right now I am deep in the guts of eBay, searching for a pretty picnic basket. I'm not having too much luck as most of them are pick up only and 200km's from my house. But search on I will!

Also, after this weekend I am considering giving up alcohol... I was meant to be a quiet weekend for me, seeing as I had to work most of it, but somehow I managed to get myself sufficiently (maybe more) inebriated on both Friday and Saturday night after getting back from work at 11pm. WHY can't our bodies stay the same? When I was 18 and just getting into the bad habit, I would wake up feeling right as rain the next morning... But not anymore. And I'm only 20...

Ahhh well. Enough of my whinging.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend, wherever you found yourself.

I love parties =]

My friend recently joined Mary Kay to earn a bit of extra money because her shifts were cut her job. So I booked a party with her, and invited some friends and family around to try on some make up =]

I love entertaining and looking after people with culinary delights. It all looked so delicious sitting on the table, so I couldn't help but take a picture of it.

Turn It Off

"I wanna know what it'd be like
To find perfection in my pride
To see nothing in the light
I'll turn it off, in all my spite
In all my spite, I'll turn it off

And the worst part is
Before it gets any better
We're headed for a cliff
And in the free fall
I will realize I'm better off
When I hit the bottom

The tragedy, it seems unending
I'm watching everyone I looked up to break and bending
We're taking shortcuts and false solutions
Just to come out the hero

Well, I can see behind the curtain
(I can see it now)
The wheels are cranking, turning
It's all wrong, the way we're working
Towards a goal that's non-existent
It's not existent, but we just keep believing..."

So I just bought Paramore's new album Brand New Eyes of itunes, I'm already in love with it.
The songs seem a bit deeper than riot! and some of them even seem to be questioning their faith, even though their Christianity had a huge part in Paramore becoming so successful. Personally, I don't believe in religion at all. So judge me. I believe that religion separates people even more than we already are. You can make up your own mind... But sensitive issues aside, I love Paramore. Now go buy their new album.
